Corporate Life & Practical Experience
Nicolai Christ started his career almost 30 years ago in the telecommunications industry at a time of deregulation and the fall of the telecoms monopoly. A time for which the term VUCA would be used today. He quickly learned how to adapt to changing conditions on a daily basis and how important an agile management style is.
At the age of just 27, he was a member of the management team responsible for developing sales for a telecommunications company and taught the former monopolist the hard way when he took the entire state of Baden-Württemberg as a customer. Other key accounts followed. He decentralized sales, set up four regional branches and structured direct and indirect sales channels.
After holding various positions in which he realigned organizations as a sales manager, he then moved to Oracle, one of the leading global IT companies, to build up the Sales Training & Operations division. During this time, he repeatedly trained all sales units, was a valuable sparring partner in deal coaching for key accounts and established a one-year training program for young professionals in sales that no other company had ever offered before or since in terms of quality, intensity and breadth of training.
In 2005, he founded eXcite - Gesellschaft für Vertriebs- & Führungskräfteentwicklung and has been helping companies in various industries to improve their performance ever since. The change of name to nicolai christ & friends - performance architects in 2017 was the logical step in building the brand after his long-standing clients repeatedly confirmed that they value working with him personally the most.
Despite his clear focus on strategic sales and leadership, he has therefore developed and implemented a wide variety of programs for clients over the past 20 years, e.g:

Nick loves the variety, the challenge and always learning new things and skills. His drive comes from passion and the quote

He always believes that something inside him is up to the circumstances. It doesn't work, it doesn't exist! Things happen for a specific reason and the basis of this is always that we can learn from it and emerge stronger. This is how he survived every crisis, overcame six-figure losses due to the 2008 financial crisis and, despite a massive slump in sales in the first half of 2020, emerged from the pandemic and its restrictions with new skills.
Today he lives with his family on the Costa del Sol in southern Spain and loves working with clients from all over the world and being enriched by different countries, cultures and perspectives.
