Nicolai Christ began his career nearly 30 years ago in the telecommunications industry during the deregulation and fall of the telecom monopoly. A period that would today be described using the term VUCA. He quickly learned to adapt to changing conditions on a daily basis and the importance of an agile leadership style.
At just 27 years old, as a member of the management board, he was responsible for building the sales organization of a telecommunications company and gave the former monopolist something to fear when he acquired the entire state of Baden-Württemberg as a customer. Other key accounts followed. He decentralized sales, established four regional branches, and structured direct and indirect sales channels.
After various positions in which he had realigned organizations as Head of Sales, he moved to Oracle, one of the leading global IT companies, to build the Sales Training & Operations division. During this time, he trained all sales units on multiple occasions, was a valuable sparring partner in deal coaching for key accounts, and established a one-year training program for young professionals in sales, the quality, intensity, and breadth of which has never been matched by any other company before or since.
In 2005, he finally founded eXcite - Gesellschaft für Vertriebs- & Führungskräfteentwicklung (eXcite - Company for Sales & Leadership Development) and has since been supporting companies in various industries in improving their performance. The rebranding in 2017 to nicolai christ & friends - performance architects was the logical step in building the brand, after his long-standing clients repeatedly confirmed that they value working with him personally the most.
